Battle rifles being the middle rifle for the soldier class. In between the LMG, and the basic assault rifle.

EG: the mosin nagant type rifle for the northern faction, I have noticed it is pretty weak, and just cannot compete with the basic balanced assault rifle.

Any chance you guys could add a bit of punch to these battle rifles?

By the way, correct me if there is another name for them. I cannot remember these things.

it seems fine to me, its made for middle range fights (and really useful long range aswell)
obviously its not as good close up, but it can still hold its own in a skilled hand; you just have to get used to it not being a point and click weapon...

That's the problem, close range (and meduim to some extent).

There is an uneven balance between fire rate and damage, so I find it is only good at long range, because it lacks the power to be used at close and medium ranges.

no offense meant at all by saying this, but I have seen people use the middle rifles to GREAT effect.

    That thing fires as fast as you can click with no recoil O.o;;

Its more of a surgeons tool; percise and carefull...

While the 1st rifle is more of a blunt spray and pray rock...

I could use the 2nd rifle with no crosshairs or ironsights and STILL get 2 hit kills.

Don't change the game because your not good with something.

I think the reload on the NF HR is quite long actually. it's worse than the BE LMG.

that's really why i don't use it, because i blast through the clip in about 2 seconds and it takes 3 seconds to reload.

This man speaks the truth, it does 60 damage per shot (120 damage on headshot)

For a while that is the only rifle I would use. The NF assault riffle sprays bullets to quickly, and the NF HMG is only really useful for maps like District or Escort. The only thing that could change with that rifle is to up the magazine capacity, but other then that its pretty perfect....

oh yeah... well my dad can beat up ur dad!

Well, if it does do 60 damage, it must be the accuracy then, because I will be firing at enemies in the distance, using many rounds at them, and not killing any of them.

i like the NF assualt, its like a hose. A deadly bullet hose. That is accurate.

The BE assault rifle is accurate to an extent.

But many times, battles are decided by tactics, skill with a gun means nothing if your looking down the barrel of an APC's MG.

The NF heavy rifle is excellent, you can get headshots with it and it's quite powerful if used correctly.

I've observed it to be just inaccurate enough to cause problems when you try to aim the thing carefully.

I use it with accuracy upgrade.

Remember at long distances, i've noticed some guns don't hit things instantaneously. It's almost like you have to lead the target...

anyways, that's probably a good idea regardless, because you also might have an fps combined with latency problem.

Basically, even though you are hitting exactly where the pixel sized headbox of a moving target is, it may not be where you see him by the time the bullet gets there. Only perfect shots are either a target moving at you directly or a target not moving at all. otherwise there is always a very minor lag issue that can make long range shots rather annoying.

Bullets are hitscan. If you need to lead the target then you're lagging.

But you do need to lead when in a melee pit.
