Steamoverlay Disturbs Building

Don't know if this has happened to anyone of you, but atm when you're going to build a tank/anything else, and someone on steamfriends say anything to you, their window pops up right in the way of the BUILD button.

And it hurts pretty much when you really really need to get that apc out when the enemy team is firing at you.

Solution:
Bring the window up slightly to the left corner

Cons:
Someone will have to do a really hard job

 

I think that one's hardcoded. Could be wrong, though.

Same as beerdude, I don't think the SDK allows any control over that

Why not change the steam friends settings to 'play a sound' instead of 'display a notification' for messages

 

then why not just move the BUILD button ? (in 2.2) , and yea it pisses me sometimes too.

Hell... it's so easy to make that little notification appear at the right top of the screen... I just finished making a Steam-skin which does that.
Just go to your Steam\skins\thenameoftheskinyouuse\resource\-directory, open the steamscheme.res and search for "Notifications.PanelPosition".
Replace the BottomRight with TopRight and you should be fine.

 

In that case, I'd say that not being able to build a vehicle is the least of your problems.

 

This isn't a bug really, I moved it to suggestions.

 

you do know that even though the little thing pops up, you can still click the build button, right? You just need to guess where it is (although it's not that hard to figure out where it is)
