    $2.49 System Shock 2

Why do you want System Shock 2?

    • It has a 92/100 Metacritic score and is generally considered one of the greatest games of all time.
    • It will run on your grandmother's refrigerator.
    • It has three cards, all going for about $0.30 each.

You have about five hours left.

Random one but hopefully Euro Truck Simulator 2 goes on sale. Looks like a half decent game (I know how weird that sounds haha)

I'm pretty new to them and I haven't done as much research as I'd like, but I'll tell you what I think I know.

Every stream profile has a level that is determined by xp. One of the ways to get xp is through badges. You can craft certain badges with cards.

Some games drop cards (like tf2 item drops). Games typically come with three or four guaranteed drops that each occur every few hours. But a game's typical badge needs like ten particular cards to craft, so you have to teach out to others to get the cards that you need to complete the requirements for a particular badge.

Valve brilliantly satisfies everyone by letting the xp-whores pay normal users for cards to get badges. The money goes into your steam wallet and can be used towards stream purchases.

As far add I know, the badges and player levels are meaningless, but the money is real.

The gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much since 18 wheels of steel, but I can get behind you willing to get that - it's fun.

EDIT @Spratacus: Badges give XP, XP gives levels, levels give Steam friendslist spots - 5 per level iirc.

I did not know that. That's a nice little token benefit.

If that incentives some people, then good for them. Everyone wins.

So, 2.50 for a game from 1999 is ok, but for one from 2004 is a rip off. I am completely understood this logic.

No you don't, because you didn't understand my post about RPG aging way better than ego shooters.

I've had this game for years & never got around to finishing it, I got it as part of a $5 indie bundle.

I haven't bought a thing yet this year, been busy playing the Final Fantasy XIV beta.

Man that game is garbage, I had more fun creating a sexualized cat thing than the core gameplay.

PSO 2 on the other-hand is really good.

Sadly PSO 2 isn't on PS3 & my computer is ancient, I do like the fact that FFXIV lets you play with PC gamers though.
