Steam question

Current state:
Old PC: HL2 installed (but not used any more)
Actual PC: Same HL2 installed (for Empires)

Now I also have the orange box.

What is the easiest way to get this configuration:
Old PC: HL2 installed but another Steam account (when friends come around)
Actual PC: Orange Box installed with my Steam account (for Empires, Portal, TF2)

 

Create another steam account. You have to purchase HL2 in order to play it, though.

 

You do not have to buy HL2 to play empires, the orangebox alone is plenty, i should know that's all i have.

best option is to get a second steam account. I know some people put all of their games on different accounts when possible so they had the packages all separated into different accounts, giving them multiple copies of many games when they came bundled with an older one.

Or you could see if someone had an extra cd key they would be willing to let you use.

 

Yeah I have two accounts.

I don't have two decent enough PCs to play empires on though.

This is my current state:
After entering and activating the CD key of the orange box on my actual PC I received a message, that I can give HL2 someone as gift.
So I created a new Steam account on for my old PC and transfered the gift.
