like, im considering hosting a server or 2 for 24/7 empiresmod 2.25 its main role would be testing my scripts and stuff for 2.25 and it will run 24/7 so people can play real matches on it as they want, so i can change a lot quickly, test it, and log the weapon stats but i dont want to come into the way of servers that are established and will go away if they have fewer players (for reasons that there will be extra servers then) so, yes or no? also wasting money is no issue since il just run it on the company server, it has a fiber optic connection to the internet and running a gameserver or 2 on it wont affect its normal duties too much i hope since we are getting an average max workload of 40% per day on it (i had to check anyway) and that thing is a beast...
yea but it takes years for me to get trickster to change stuff on it like update scripts no bad things about trickster and such, but its not like i can do things in return for him and updating it is more work then making the updates :/
How else would it work? Imagine five people trying to use the same server for testing. I was thinking something with git and merge requests, but I'll have to do some research first.
