As it is in beta i targeted the cv. The delay was so large that cv was 40 to 50 m away when the target moved... basicaly the squad target is useless as i see it now. The point of squad target if it was even used was to pinpoint precise position of the target (lets say cv?), provide a "wallhack" for infantry on important targets, mark a party bus or if team was organised it could be used as a target to focus fire down veichles instead of shooting around each their own. Empires is not about realism and the impact of squad target was hardly large enough to even consider a nerf (but then again if you cry about squad targeting a cv or wallhacking with it then revive should be nerfed (revives with 30% hp 0% stamina) aswell and arty should have a cooldown, right?) not to mention no sane person would use bound squadtarget then kill a person... i got it bound on my razer naga and i could never shoot and target at the same time well as i had to akwardly press the button and aim at the same time... Either i died or i killed the guy before i could even use the "wallhack" as for marking a partybus, cv, shared veichle target et cetra i think of squad target as an obvious must have in empires. Nerfing it is like killing a part of the game...
Short story: Let squad target be pinpoint, let the cv targets have a delay? Or Make targets on vehicles not have a delay?
Fixed There was a bug in the code making vehicles have delayed targets. This should be fixed for the next version.
how about infantry targets? the very use of them to spot a guy and have him targeted is rendered useless atm (you can call it wallhack all you want but usually if you take the time to target you could already kill the enemy instead)
