Seeing how source mods are slowing going the way of the dinosaurs... How about we work with other source mods like Zombie Panic Source, Zombie Master, Obsidian Conflict, Battlegrounds 2, and etc etc. Our mod should work with these other mods. It would be similar to TF2's hat system, when you buy a game, you get a hat in TF2. What we can do is something similar like... Play 100 hours on Empires mod = Receive an exclusive starting melee weapon on ZPS Can carry one extra magazine on every gun on Zombie Master Kill 1000 zombies on ZPS = Exclusive access to BE Burst Pistol Get a hat on Zombie Master Kill 100 Brits with pistol on BG2 = Exclusive access to NF heavy 5 standard missile boat I think our developers should talk with the developers on other mods. This might increase interests within the source community. Maybe a coder from ZPS might want to help Empires out. Maybe Empty would go help out BG2 and make some cool particles for them. Maybe a modeler from Eternal Silence would go and help out Obsidian Conflict to make more anime models. Frankly, Empires is not the only mod that has become stagnant and possibly dying. All the source mods are. It is lame! I bought Orange Box like 4 years ago just so I can play source mods (cause im cheap and dont want to buy new games).
because these game have so much in common. its deffinately the same playerbase. i mean hey, they play mods ...
