    This wont affect us because there are only 2 servers we play on, and these exploits are done via server configuration.

    Not player to player.

    Empires is source 2013 based so the source 2013 base packaged with empires will need to be updated by the devs when valve fixes it.
    In the mean time I suggest to be extra careful to make sure no one impersonates the VIPER or EPIC servers.
    Only join empires servers using your server favourites or history.

    As long as the DOS attacks don't start and a certain server doesn't pop back up again.

    The browser literally has VIPER servers, EPIC servers, and the Anitalink server.

    Chances are the accounts will stay in the community.

    There was a new server up a day or 2 ago called Hellsink or something like that. The ping was in the 200's for me on the steam list so it wasn't an USA server.

    I would change the title of the servers and put OFFICIAL in the names.
    And when a clone arrives, we make an announcement and with direct links to the servers.

    I already addressed that.

    We make an annoucement, in the steam news, and up there in the announcements with direct links to viper and epic.

    or... you know... hand out 2 batch files. One that says "PLAY Epic Shit Server" and one that says "PLAY Great Viper Server" Have it call steam to play the game ID and connect to the servers respective IP's

    There is a new server up It has Half Life 2 Deathwatch as its name but the maps on emp_escort, and its passworded, and from Roumania.
    Doubt its anything bad but heads up on it.
    hmm now its gone..weird unless they are working on it
