Here's little something that I made last night in three hours(two of which went into rendering) with Blender, Indigo and The GIMP.

C&C is a fun game... :D But give me still some comment & critique.

    It confuses me so greatly

:D Quickly mocked up grenades/bombs and a glass clip with some bullets and a buddle of blood, which for some reason turned out black. I still need to fiddle around with the indigo settings... And there doesn't seem to be too much contrast, oh well it's an unbiased GI render, so I guess it's that...

I guess I'll rebake the fluids and do some other stuff... Back to the drawing board! :D

A pool of blood should not be so lumpy. :p

Also keep in mind that blood tends to splatter, so if you can get a little of that in there, it would look great. And I'm not sure about Blender's rendering system, but that speckling makes me want to turn up the accuracy in Final Gathering (XSI FTW).

Dumby, it's rendered with Indigo, not Blender internal. :p Indigo is like Maxwell renderer. Unbiased, slow, but makes very natural lighting. I tried to reduce the noise a bit, but it's only a two hour render. The "blood" is done with the fluidsimulation, it baked for half an hour and I didn't feel like finetuning it. But like I said back to the drawing boar.

As for the materials I'm using presets for silver(bombs/grenades), gold(bullets) and copper(the casings). :) Felt like goofing around.

Indigo is a bit hard app to use since it has no UI so things come with trial and error...

Hey, don't call me dumb! Just because I didn't know if Blender had built-in rendering or not is no reason to call me dumb.

    You're mean. :(

I tried to rush an American base with Kirovs... Half of them blew up too much Patriot Missles >.< But the rest (4/8) Pretty much destroyed every living organism in that section of the map :D

How many Kirov's did you use? Probably not enough! I like using 20. Yep. From 3 sides, 6-6-8. The 8 attacks their heaviest front. If you have the micro, you can destroy their whole base without them being able to do anything, extremely fast since they will focus on the 8 (you send it in first).

twenty blimbs? by the time you had made that, I would have crushed you, had tea, made love your girlfriend, and have finally managed to get sleep next to a jackhammer.
