HEy, thought I would have a bash at some imperial hands today. (this are engineer version, I will put sleaves on for the other one.) They are still WIP, lots to change, am going out for the evening so throught I would post my progress. Again any C&C would be apreciated. Thanks Seb
i really like them are the metal tips on the brenodi gloves to prevent them from breaking there fingernails lol
Looking good. But yeah, what is up with the ends of the fingers? Something tells me they're not metal, but perhaps silicone-rubber, giving the engineers a sense of touch through the gloves, whilst still protecting their fingers.
The Imperials really need long sleeves. It's like the whole North Korea vs South Korea at the demilitarized zone where the SK guards have short sleeves and look more laid back while the NK wear long wool sleeves in the summer to look stern and more formal.
All thats missing on the Brenodi gloves is the logo, and as others said the NF gloves looks a little to similar...
I really like both hands, but i don't like the scratches. Everyone wears the same gloves, but not everyone has the same scratches on the same glove.
Couldent that be simulated with random skins for the hands? a few diffrent looking glow skins that it randomly cyles through

hmm had to reregister, forgot you moved.... Any way, this arms are very nice, look much better then the current ones, would be nice if you kould IK rig them and post them, i know some people who can animate some nice moves...
They are already rigged and wieghted. No IK systems though, horrible to animate with. FK all the way Could post them up so every one can have a shot at animating them, gonna have a bash my self.
For WIP, those are freakin' great. I always thought short sleves + gloves made a more professtional look, especially with a Carbine/Sub Machine gun or a short barreled weapon, like the BE Engie with an SMG1. But I do agree, the NF should have short sleves for everyone execpt the Grenadir, make them look like they are wearing a 'light' NF Red Fatman Suit, same for BE only with their dark navy blue. haha, Party boy is watching you Lock N' Load I thought about big bagy sleaves, but came to the conclusion that they would not look as good as tighter fitting ones. Ok I think I am pretty much done with the imperial hands now. Was thinking of re-making some weapons next, any one got any idea's?
I would love to do some players, but I dont think it needs it. Maybe I could make some zombies or somthing, imperial Zombies. This is a pic of the high pollygon model's I made first to create the normal map with, took me a little while to make so thought I would post them :D. Cheers
The player model are ok, but making scouts and grandiers differ would be nice. Ask the devs if you can help with weapons, if you want. Textures are the main grip, everything else is fine.
Might want to add something to the top of the Brenodi glove, like a metal plate or something to break up the solid mass of gray. Like in the NF glove you have the scratches that work well to break up the entire thing and make it look more interesting... Maybe some sort of metalic guard? or the brenodi logo?
