Whilst I was playing Empires, I began thinking about what it will be like when aircraft are implemented. The maps at the moment are slightly small for flying aircraft, especially building a runway for the aircraft to take off and land on. From this I then came up with a solution on how to fix what could be a 'lack of space problem'. Make the models smaller. By making the models smaller (this includes buildings etc. not just tanks and players) the maps will appear larger. What do you think? Solution or not a solution?
That's been the plan for over a year now and is already implemented and has already been tested Aircraft will have their own maps available to them and all aircraft will be VTOL.
Also, getting run over by a 1/16 heavy tank is a very.... interesting experiance. aw man... starting to miss Boderick
Helicopters are nice, though VTOL aircrafts currently can only hover for a few seconds before roasting the engine and costing millions. The current concept designs look kinda helicoptery with the rotor blades. Dunno what that design is called, but it looks like it'd be fun to work with. Let's hope for the best!
All aircraft have VTOL, and all but the gunship have normal flight. The gunship is a helicopter in basic terms.
Aww I was hoping that we would land planes normally Can't there be just 1 type of plane that lands on a runway? Great to hear that this was the plan all along
