skills seem bugged

    i had this twice today - the fix was always the same.

    first time it was with ammo upgrade on escort - i took it first for stickies, then i realized i couldnt build lvl3s later on (was keefs new version), so i switched back to rifleman and had ammo upgrad as 2nd skill. for some reason i couldnt take more then 2 stickies.
    after i almost went crazy (ran to flag, repicked, ran to ammocrate, still couldnt take more) i decided to try if it works as first skill (i had health upg as first at that time) and it did.

    the same happend with defusal on district. i started out with punch-them-to-death upgrade and took defusal as 2nd and blew up to 2 of dubees mines.
    well i reminded myself on what happend to escort earlier, took defusal as first skill and after i found a mine without gettin shot on the way there it was working again ...

    ikalx said cad had the same issue and mashav mentioned that speed upgrade seems to be not working ...

    PLEASE FIX THIS - IN THE MEANWHILE USE YOUR IMPORTANT SKILLS IN THE FIRST SLOT ;)

    Defusal wasn't working for CAD on Glacial I think it was. He drove over mines a couple of times and checked it out.

    I'll see if the 2nd skill has a bug in the scripts, they probably do. Or it'll be in the code part of it.

    EDIT: Don't see anything immediately in the scripts.

    I've gotten the same thing on escort as rifleman, ammo upgrade as fourth skill didn't work.

    now what can be causing this if it works on the first but not as the second skill I know (I men I under stand coding to get the ide of how its supposed to work) that if it works in the first box then I don´t get why it work at all. if the first work but not the second and this is not occurring before now. am confused.
    I´m plain confused.

    when I went scout... hide was my second skill... I could NOT hide but, when I went back to flag and changed it to third it would.

    If this is the same thing that we had during the first 2.27 test, it's a known bug :/

    Though at the time, it was attributed to using the increase rank command.

    i had this bug too, i wasnt able to upgrade turrets on slaughtered. i had turret upgrade as skill 4.

    When I have that problem, I just have to die and respawn. That worked for me, but this shit is the next annoying thing in empires after the forced mortar reload

    If anyone can get full details on this, how it happens, when it happens etc, we can probably fix it. But we tried for this release and couldn't find the cause, we just didn't know enough about the problem, only that "2nd and 4th skill sometimes break".

    I had this happen today with both my 3rd and 4th skill slots(not at same time). To me it seemed like it was the last available slot wasn't working.

    I was at 29 points, put hide on my 3rd slot and it wasn't working. Brought up the class menu and saw it should have gone through. I went outside the rax and pressed accept on the menu and saw hide was now "waiting on loadout..." went back inside rax and pressed accept. Brought menu up and no "waiting on..", I still couldn't hide. Repeated going outside and was "waiting..." again. Switched classes and still 3rd slot wasn't working. Got 1 point and repeated above now 4th slot wasn't working but 3rd apparently was.

    Asdf, we're still no closer to working out why this happens. No common factors to reproduce.

    time to enable debug and put a stop line in the code and follow it?

    The problem is getting it to appear. It seems almost completely random. I myself haven't had it happen to me once.

    ok i will try fully explain whats goin on. Update Skills for the same class.... just not work, its broken;

    Like if you have engy with 1 skill, before you return to update your skills you have like 20,30 or more points... you going change class... submit new skills... and whats dissapointed... new skills what you taken is submited but not worked...

    if you get it 40 point... to take 2 turrets build... you must die and respawn, retaking engy class in flag/armory/rax not worked... you will be waste energy to 0 after change, but new skills/2 turrets wouldnt be work.

    actually you must die or just change class to other one to activate new skills.

    script must be corrupted, it wont let update new skills for the same class as we play before witchout respawn.

    It's funny how your attempt at clarification had such broken english you only made it worse.

    The dev team knows there is a bug with skills, it hasn't been isolated yet but it will get fixed eventually.
