after 2 hours of work, herehe is, i feel he needs more though, what can you guys suggest, he is very much a steampunk anti infantry mech, i was told i could have some creative freedom as long as it was generally along the concept lines based on the concept art exactly second version( my version) hes just begging for arms eh
It doesn't look very steampunkish at all. I mean where are the water tanks? pipes? valves? The whole steampunk movement is base around steam powered technology. Of course, most people tend to get cyberpunk and steampunk mixed up together. Steampunk tend to have a more bulky look since there are no such things are electric servos and motors or batteries. Objects are moved through the use of pressure generated by steam.
then this is cyberpunk, thankyou for that, and hes still got work done, i expect he will be done by tonight im reworking the guns, putting on the generators, extra fuel, a engine, and some lil tidbits
The concept artist wasn't very good if that's based entirely on it, the first one looks like it'd fall over and the silly frames on the legs don't add anything. The second one is an improvement but the whole thing should have a lot more armor. Cyberpunk is very high tech, but set in a dystopian society, I don't think many cyberpunk things would be powered by a V12 engine or have control levers. Cyberpunk would be something like an almost organic structure with lots of interlocking metal plates, the control system would probably be some sort of neural interface which connects directly to the pilot, possibly irreversibly.
This is not cyberpunk. I guess it's not Steampunk either in the strictest sense, but it has the same retro-look. What is this for? A game? For a game or something else real-time rendered it looks too high-poly. For something pre-rendered it looks not detailed enough (for example the bullets just hanging in the air)
