As I'm sure we all know, jeeps are basically worthless. They're quite slow, surprisingly expensive, and can get killed in only a couple of shots. So, here's my solution for making them vaguely useful. 1. Remove customization (for jeeps). This is very simple. Essentially, you create a very simple, linear vehicle that people can spawn if they need to get around the map. 2. Improve their speed. For some reason, jeeps seem to be fairly slow. Without delving deeply into numbers, they should ideally be as fast as a light tank with 3-phase. 3. Make them cost less. Here's the kicker. Jeeps at the moment are simply a waste of money. Thus, decreasing their cost to a permanent 50-100 res (since you can't customize them) is an easy way to make them more cost-effective, and thus useful. This could also make them handy at the beginning of the game for grabbing those outlying resource points, something that should really be part of their role. 4. Remove Armor (Optional) If you think that the cost is now too low for a small, fast vehicle like this, remove the armor from it entirely. It's not like it does all that much good anyways. I'm going to leave the NF vs. BE jeep problem to the devs. Ideally, you would want to make both hold the same number of passengers, but you would, of course, have to redo the BE or NF model. Pros: Make Jeeps useful again. Cons: Could increase power/risk of jeep rushes, or infinitely other ways of unbalancing the game. Whether this would actually be an effective way of helping jeeps is up you all. Comments?
Whats so bad about jeeps? I find them awesome :D. Once on money, were were kicking soo much ass, a majority of the team decided we should lock vf and I made com fission jeeps for everyone to rush in the base. It wasn't until they got HIT that they started pushing us to the middle.
