It came to me awhile back that electric engines are actually very quiet in real life, and that in empires they still make the same sound as any other engine. So, why not different engine sounds? Should be simple, really. Standard=What we have now. Fission=ROAWRRR!Loud, manly engine! 3-phase=A whiny sound, or a "whoosh"-like sound. Gas turbine= vroom vroom. Like if a Sports car were a tank. Coolant would sound the same as standard ( beacause that's what it is ) and biodiesel would be loud like fission. I have no idea how hard this would be to implement, however, but I can't imagine it being too difficult.(Although finding all the sounds may be troublesome.)
You guys are jerks. There ARE sound artists on the team, since Empires HAS sound. And the suggestion is good as well.

We used to have just one set for every vehicle, you should be happy that there's more than one set now.
I think 3 phase should be stealth. Like when a fucking prius goes and fucking runs you over because you can't hear it coming. But yeah, nosounds atm

Engines should sound like: Standard: normal car Bio: a bubbleing caldruon 3 Phase: Smart car (I hate those things :p) Fission: a nuke powerplant Advanced coolent: Hot Steam Gas Turbine: A very old Volvo desial engine :p lol :p:p:p:p the perfect list
Fission would sound like steam, why would coolant sound like steam? It would be cooler and thus unlikely to make steam.

3 phase does makes sound, though you don't hear the direct sound of the magnetic fields, friction with the air and metal parts causes noise, though lower than other engines.
3 phase motors actually make little more noise than a slight hum, unless the bearings are badly worn then they make a lot of noise though still not as much as an engine. So assuming that all empires vehicles a little bit worn out the noise on an old worn out 3 phase motor would be like this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZNOD4BgugA#t=0m42s. An motor that isn't worn out would sound more like this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYdIJOar2OY#t=0m25s. (I know the last one isn't a 3 phase motor but brushless motors will sound similar anyway. Only a motor made in Britain would still be quiet after that many years. :D) But then you have the noise of the additional parts of the vehicle such as the noise of the wheels on the ground and the noise of other mechanical parts inside the vehicle.
