Do you prefer to have a short game or a long one? By short I mean that you don't necessarily even get to heavies. By long I mean that you probably get to heavies, artillery, and perhaps even nukes. Personally, I'd say that longer games are more epic, but shorter games are more intense. I'm a longer game kinda guy. What are you?
I only prefer short games when the teams are so obviously unbalanced that a short game is a mercy killing.
I dislike long games (unless they deserve to be long, such as when both teams are good, and when the game is still fun and not boring) of course, with all the removal of powerful weapons, EVERY game is too long (except rare exceptions)
Either one as long as the game is good. Short games are nice but they may be over too quickly. If the game is long and intensive and there's a lot of killing and shooting then that's the best kind of game. So... Maybe long games, even in general, because there will be then less rushing and ninjaing because the game lasted so long.
Short games rock when they are...epic. But its rare that a shortgame is so sweet that everybody enjoys it, but they do happen. Long games have more tendency to be better for both teams. As long as everybody agrees GG at the end of it im happy
Loooong games. Preferably with both teams running out of tickets at last. What's the point of Empires if not the heavy tank battles at the end?
Long games are usually epic, or stalemates. The first is win, the second is waiting for arty/heavies.
Assuming both are good games I'd say short. I think most people are voting long because most short games are just stack/whatever clusterfucks. Long games can be fun but drawn out games when both teams are out of tickets can just be a chore or when it gets down to arty spam on slaughtered or xroads.
i love those games where a team obviously has the upper hand, but is unable to squash down the last parts of resistance the other team is mustering if the weaker team wins with tickets, i love it even more
Yeah, those games are fun. It is pretty lame to see yourself on the losing team, not being able to spawn because of the lack of barracks, the only alive player being the com, and he stubbornly refuses to give in and get killed, just so he can have his private GTA:Cyclopean, against the enemy team's tanks.
I like long games, not necessarily because they are long but because a long game is a sign of a rare case when the teams aren't stacked.
Long, a short game means one team has been on the defensive for most of the game and hasn't had any fun.
