I like the idea of a shell turret, but only if controlled by the commander / person inside it. It really would be cool.

The shell turret was Emp42's anti-tank turret. It's essentially a cannon on a base. Nice and cheap, but they were rarely effective because noone wanted to sit in a turret and watch for tanks all the time. Like the AA turret, it was manual, because krenzo hadn't coded in autoturrets.

And here I was thinking it was a turret that flung sea-shells at passerbys.

    Damn!

    yeah, probably would be boring.

I still recon it should be implemented as a sort of long range anti-tank weapon

Couldn't you do that the turrets are automatic when there isn't a player using them, but they aren't so effective as when a player uses them?

I think it would be great if turrets could be manually piloted. Even the turrets we have right now.

they should remove the engineer turrets in the regular maps.
Engineers use them as an extream;ly powerfull asoult weapon. Especialy when its level 2 or 3.
