The idea is to make seismic grenades do damage over time instead of doing damage all at once. This would make it harder for engineers to wipe out bases single-handedly as it would take longer for them to deal the same amount of damage. As the current effect does involve the screen shaking the change should be realistic enough to be intuitive. I am unsure if the effects should stack or not as there are benefits to both. Pros: Engineer can no longer take down bases by themselves Fits the existing effects (screen shaking) and idea behind the grenade Cons: If they don't stack then several engineers will take as long as one engineer to kill a building with grenades. Alternatives: Make the damage over time effects stack/not stack
I disagree. While I strongly dislike grenade spam, I find that this would be even harder to balance than the current model.
If you did this wouldn't it mean that engineers could no longer destroy defended buildings? I always liked it when a team organized together and rushed the enemy. It was one of the few tactics where clear and obvious teamwork paid off.
