make a skill to reduce the sway on the sniper rifle scoped in. It sucks trying to aim when it wobbles 300 degrees in either direction.

Sway on scooped rifles (while scooped in) is kinda a joke in empires, should be even more imo ... don't see the reason for such a skill, even while standing the scooped rifle is still useable ... but yeah since there aren't many skills for snipers, that skill would be an addition ... (for w/e reason) soooo in conclusion: Put in quite some effort to make an (rather) useless skill which promotes sniping only for scouts? Oh come on ...
To be honest the sway is ridiculous. My opinion is, either the scout rifle can insta-kill on any headshot and has this sway, or it uses the previous scriptsets values with NO sway. IE: High damage high sway or Med damage no sway.
at least let the sway slow as you are scoped in longer, or up against a surface. Think scout hide effect cept with rifle sway. It would be different if the scout rifle was 100% kill every time, like in every other game that has some ridiculously huge sway. But it doesn't. It's no better than every other pin point accurate gun. None of the other rifles sway in iron sights.
with the exception that you can fire at people when outside their view distance i just recently noticed it on emp_nomis (or however its called now), scoped i could see people i could not see unscoped (because they didnt get rendered)
If I'm not mistaken, the scope simple is a camera placed in front of your gun by several hundred units. I don't think that the scope adds much more than 1k units to your vision range.
But seriously, what's the point of having a whole bunch of perfect regular rifles with a shitty ass scout rifle? give them this one small concession or remove the whole damned class. They can't kill tanks, they can't kill infantry (well, they can now, much better than they ever could, but still at a fraction of the rate of a roffle.) They can't build shit, they can't take out bases unless the entire enemy team shoves their own heads so far up their asses that they can't drive the tank backwards. The only way the scout rifle can be useful is if the entire enemy team is incompetent. Thus it is a lulz class and forever will be. tone down or remove the wild sway please.
Killing 12 structures over 2 minutes in the enemy main seems pretty damn powerful to me. An engineer can save maybe 3 buildings.
how many main bases have 12 structures? Ref, barracks, VF, Repairpad, Armory, Radar. That's 6 buildings. 2 of those 6 are completely irrelevant to most situations. You can live without the ref as well. Save the racks, VF, Radar. Rebuild in 30 seconds. Scouts seem pretty damn powerful? don't kid yourself. Let him run while hidden. Or let him kill people efficiently with his rifle. You HAVE to give him something. Killing off the entire base? sure he can. He just has to crawl up to it slowly (3-5 minutes) and hope nobody sees him on accident or runs him over or something. Roffles can mow people down, or snipe from a distance. There is no reason a scout shouldn't be able to at least do the second thing as effectively or more effectively than the roffle whore.
