how about real cheap fast scout bikes , like those in the planet where the hairy small men in starwars lived . maybe a restriction of two when starting. whould be intresting. instead or at the same time as jeep. but jeeps can take two ppl. where the bikes can just take one. got inspired with the fast travel thread. and bold as i am i started a new. not only for strategic advantage. but it seems like damn fun to cruise around with a fast hover bike. if thats even possible to create. doesnt have to be hover, it can have wheels too. but that must be harder to make. maybe just give them to north. so that someone wants to play as north hehe.
There is a reason why jeeps get rarely built by seasoned players... Find out what it is and you'll see why this might not go through too well.
more of an fun factor in the game . just cruising around at that canyon map with a hoverbike whould be cool. for engineers and scouts to gain advantage in the beginning. maybe just for north. then perhaps another thing for the brenodi. that concentrates on heavy firepower.
sounds like an interesting change to jeeps. would also be good because although one missile could take it out, it would be able o hover over mines, dragon teath and barbed wire perhaps.
A scout bike is like a jeep. Small, Fast Moving, Little Armor, No Guns. See the problem there? It isn't the weapons but the fast they get owned in one hit with a tanker.
The thing about Jeeps is that they allow you to taxi people around, which is really fun. scout bikes are likely to be used once, then dumped.
The Scout Bikes should also be targeted by MG turrets... prevents dumb rushing and besides, you're very exposed... -Sheepe
Vs Lev 1's that might be alright, but against Level 3's, you would be dead in seconds. mabey you get limeted protection, so they still shoot at you, but the damage is much much less. you would only die if having to drive past a pair of Lev3's or equivilant.
actually i think a scout is nice to have when you have enough players... its nice to know when a vehicle is coming or whats going on at the enemy base... but like i said... only when you have enough engineers already...
