Cause he only likes music that we think sucks. I like some DnB but its like jazz theres a lot of gems in a sea of crap. I'm too lazy to spend time looking for the good stuff but I do like acoustic drums used to make live DnB. check these out It's cool to use break beats and make electronic DnB but doing it live is something that I really respect and hope to do eventually. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj5Q6yALSMs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf3fpULe6Ig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9iqqSMiQUU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psScSXzqgy0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b98BJ36K1wo Sorry I can't help you more but I'm sure dizzyone or someone else knows more about it.
Klute Skynet Black Sun Empire Counter-strike Dieselboy (A big name, but definately pick up "Substance D" and listen to it) Alec Empire (Download "the Destroyer", it's one of the first breakcore albums made, but still relevant to drums and bass) Technical Itch There's a good start. Thing about some electronic dance music artists is they'll release a lot of vinyls in the hopes of being spun at parties, but that leaves the average listener stuck with downloading releases with 2-4 songs on them each which gets annoying.
who me? well, i do dabble in drum n bass, although im mainly into funk, rock, electronica and jazz. quite an interesting mix
Pendulum, Prodigy. And some of my friends like some band called NOISIA. Also, pick up the Neotokyo OST if you can find it, that's pretty cool.

It's pointless to find good dnb searching on artist though, but whatever.
I dno why, but a lot of these feel like they're missing some sort of "line" so to speak. Pendulum aren't missing it, but it just feels like there's usually 1 too few things going on, and I'm always waiting for that next thing to kick in. It's hard to describe really but, that's why I prefer Pendulum to a lot of these. EDIT:This is an example of what I mean when it HAS the extra line, go to 4:13 onwards to see.
DnB isn't exactly easy listening, the tunes usually have a very different buildup than you would expect from other genres, have to also keep in mind that a lot of tunes are best used for mixing and not necessarily played on their own. Pendulum goes beyond DnB and most of his tunes aren't true to DnB, They're good of course, but if you're looking for more like pendulum, than I'm sorry to break it to ya, theres only one Pendulum I can't really say the mentioned song is more complex than a lot of techstep, darkstep etc, some artists just seem to have a very minimalistic style or spend a great deal of time in engineering a certain beat, and with that theres a lot more going on throughout the song instead of it being split into sections, not saying you can't find it, theres a lot of tunes that have a more mainstream buildup, again though, DnB isn't easy listening. This tune might have what you're looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMi6NPADzcg&fmt=18
