That simple really, just make weapons we don't want spammed have tiny amounts of ammo (nukes, rails) and less powerful weapons have large ammo as their advantage. Salvo, STD ML, LR CN
Funny that nukes and rails don't really care about their heat as it is. At least, rails is more heat efficient than most weapons, and nukes abusively pair with bio diesel. Really, it's weapons like Std ML and Ranged CN that suffer from heat. Without heat, you can stack as many of those weapons on a tank as possible and go shotgunning. Also, you'd need to be able to specify the rate of ammo you get from an ammo crate. Otherwise, someone can just park next to an ammo crate or armory and spam away until the cows come home. This would be another reason never to drive a tank as any other class, I suppose.
What does ammo count have to do with the number of weapons you can fire simultaneously in a short period of time?

Grenadier has armor detect so its better to use tank as them instead of being engie. Problem solved lets go see this happen anyway on rainbowroad...
Rails don't have enough ammo as it stands right now... Nerfing their ammo would just make them very fustrating to use.
