Remove grenadespam by changing the mortar into a weapon made to act like it was a unit grenade spamming without the BS nadespam with ammobox itself i suggest having you pick different types of mortar ammo (seismic etc) possibilities: -pick them as equipment choices -make it a 2 man collaboration somehow, so engineer + gren would mean seismic mortar, rifle + gren = HE mortar etc -let them be dependant on research and making the actual grenades unable to grenadespam somehow possibilities: -lowering the trowing rnage to 50% -unable to replenish from ammobox
the problem isnt nadespamming, the problems are those 5 idiots sitting in the rax trying to keep it up, which will inevitably fail ...
I like to walk around as engineer and kill all unguarded buildings in no time. But I also like the idea, that only an engineer and grenadier working as team will do this job. For this I would just remove the seismic grenades and increase the damage from mortar to buildings. But maybe this would change game play to much. So maybe only change the seismic effect, so that it can be only applied once to a building. This means that it doesn't matter how many engis are spaming seismic. Building will be always destroyed in the same time.
I like my mortar like my mortar is. (Well, maybe a bit stronger, but it's still a mean weapon.) I like my nadespam like my nadespam is. (I just don't like them ammo crates that pop up everywhere.)
Lower fuse time and only replenish grenades at armouries will work just fine. But about the mortar change it would be cool to add bonuses like you siad, scout gives smoke mortar rounds, awesome.
