I just watched the holiday trailer for Resistance and Liberation here.
It's incredible. People should definately check it out. It's like a little piece of machinima.

*shrugs* Doesn't really show much that isn't already in the hundred other WW2 games.

I'm hoping all the dods models and stuff are just placeholders too.

Still, I wouldn't mind trying it but I doubt it's coming any time soon and I can almost guarantee that it's going to suffer the same problems every single source mod ever made has had on their first releases (horrible lag)

I love realism mods (Along with rts/fps hybrids of course :)), I can't wait to try RnL out.

So, what, it's the RO of the Source engine?

I mean, sure, it should be fun, but I have a hard time really getting excited about it. The trailer showed minimal gameplay, too, which kinda has me worried.

Ahh, like old school hl1 hostile intent. This is my kind of firefighting. Freaking hud's I hate them.

It's a free Red Orchestra, perfect for cheapskates like me.

The original Red Orchestra is still free. It started out as a mod for UT2k4, which won the "Make Something Unreal" mod contest, giving the devs something like 10k and access to the engine. They then went on to make Ostfront, which is a retail product.

    Blooooop.

:) R&L, Ham & Jam and In Flanders Field are the world war mods I'm waiting for. R&L will give me the American side of the story as well as the Axis side, Ham & Jam will fill me up with the Canadian and British side and In Flanders Field gives me taste of WWI in Source flavor. :) I just wish that TT team would release 1.1 already. The servers are mighty empty and it gets boring quite quickly...

I'm a bit careful on the weapon jamming though... It's so rare in real life(with relatively well treated guns I mean) that I fear it's either going to be made too rare to be a real gameplay element or too common to make it extremely annoying and unreal. I think that even though they are going for extreme realism leaving out gun jamming might have not been a bad idea.

Damn my English is bad this morning...

Indeed. It certainly won't go well with clans and leagues if they're hoping to be picked up by any of them.

Any randomness in gameplay is not good for match play.
