Hello. I'm very interested about Empires but i have a question before i will start downloading it .. Do i require Half Life with Orange Box or only Half Life 2 / Orange Box ? Raxan Oh, and if i made this thread in the wrong place, then I'm Sorry.
Buying the Orange Box and then download Orange Box SDK will be enough to play Empires without issues and buy this to play it good ? ( Issues - textures missing and such )
You only have to get one Source game. It doesn't matter which one. Orange Box works, Half-Life 2 works, TF2 works, Portal works etc. Then you download and install Empires. You might have to install the SDK BASE (not the SDK itself), but if this is necessary, Steam will prompt you to do so.
Under the tools tab, if you have ANY source game, there should be 3 tools in particular listed: Source SDK Source SDK Base Source SDK Base - Orange Box The last of those needs to be installed before you can play. It contains all of the textures on the orange box engine.
