Northern Faction forces stopped an invasion of their de facto ally, The Commonwealth, in Aran. Brenodi forces were turned back along the beaches of Cyclopean Lake. Having failed once again to control territory, Brenodi forces are turning their eyes back toward Vivedd with a vengeance. Intel leaked from High Command suggests their new tactic may be to take and hold cities instead of spreading their forces too thin over the whole province. As always, demos can be found on the PUG forums: http://www.empirespug.com/forum/
Good match, bad blood. The idiotic forum discussion on the EmpiresPUG site is more fierce, yet also more tedious than the matches themselves.
Why are Bren taking stupid territories, the reserve army just decimated a huge chunk of their force in the commonwealth, and now on the edge of their capital, they decide to move their forces /away/ from that army. Seriously, NF should take the capital city next.
I just wish we could add another dimension to these PUG games. The territories should actually be worth something, like a small advantage in-game for certain territories held, and the team leaders should be deciding where to attack.
Sounds too logical and we can't have that Also it would be nice if each territory were associated with a map. Such as fighting in glycen would correspond to emp_glycencity. Its kind of unclear how one side can win. Do we have to take only the capital? Or do we have to capture every territory?
ingame advantages, even as small as tickets, would mean that the team which is winning would have an advantage over the other. but all the pug is really to do is to facilitate fun, organised matches. not biased ones. it would also discorage teams from playing with a weak side and instead not play at all, if losing in a match which they didn't have to play meant that they were punished in the next match. and team leaders don't need to pick, because it's not really important. you're just having games of empires with an adapting story to go along side it.
