a friend of mine didnt like it, got tired of it after a week i only played it for a small time at his place but i can see why he thinks that way
1. Pick up large vehicle/other object. 2. Run down crowded sidewalk. 3. ??? 4. Profit. Once you get tired of that, never play it again.
I loved it, except the fact that all the cutscenes went reaaaaallllyyyyy sllllloooowwww anddd the soooouuunnnddd wennntt slooowww toooo. It got really annoying when the cutscenes took 5 minutes so someone can say "Iiiiiii thhhiiinnnkkkkkk yooouuuuu shhhooouuuulllldddd cheeeccckkk iiittttt oooouuttttttttt"
Everything I've read about this on forums makes it sound like a good sandbox game....really thinking about trying it out.
If you want to try it out, may I suggest first pirating it then deciding to pay the $50 on your own accord? It annoys me to see the same crappy level design techniques still being used in games today. Very linear, repetitive, stuff like that. I watched my buddy get a few missions where they're like "go kill all this shit" and suddenly 50 things pop up on his minimap to kill. They were all identical groups of tanks, or drones, etc, and he just had to go from place to place killing them. There was also a mission where he had to fistfight an endless horde of creatures that were trying to get through some window behind him, which had a healthbar (0=lose) and a 3 minute time limit. These things mean shitty game development, no matter how much sandboxlolz you throw in. Also the AI sucks donkey dongs in disguise mode.
Reminds me of SpiderMan 2 minus the web swinging. Though I passed on this game to buy Red Faction: Guerrilla. I might buy it when it's in thirty dollar range.
Trine's in ~30 dollar range. ;P Or at least 30€ range. http://www.puolenkuunpelit.com/kauppa/product_info.php?products_id=33057 See: "Trine 34,90€"
Out of curiosity, I keep seeing more and more posts about people's PS3 drives dying - is this becoming more common? It's always been known the early PS3 bluray drives were peices of fucking garbage in terms of reliability and cost, and only a quesiton of how long until they fail - but I keep reading people saying their PS3 finally bit the dust well after it's warranty was up (and Sony doesn't have an extension on the repairs like the XBox 360 does)... I'm mainly seeing this on the [H] forums.
I'm guessing it's probably the earlier models (06-07) with the PS2 backwards compatibility , I only have the newer model without the backwards compatibility (Got a PS2 so it doesn't matter , & all PS3s still play PS1 titles). I've heard models made in 08 use a new Blu-Ray drive. I've only had the console since October so I really can't say. :/
3D 2D Platformer to be exact. And Pope. I got new info from FB's forum and it seems the game will be somewhere between 20-35$ and I think same applies as euros too if you buy it for PC from Steam or for PS3 through PSN.
i got prototype nd im finding it rather fun. Every time i pul out the whipfist and smack 30 helicopters out of the sky i giggle to myself
WTF is wrong with game companies these days? Protoype is copy of Assasin Greed. The whipfist is copy of Bionic Commando's arm. What next?
