Whatever Number: Shooting a BE mine with your RPG/Mortar will put a scorch mark around it , making it nearly invisible to most enemies.
Put 1 mine on top of a turret so enemies cannot hop onto the turret to avoid getting hit and decomming/nading it
that is actually a very good tip that i've never thought to do also: a mine in the vf is worth two on the ground
how is it worth 2? is it because it damages the building and the vehicle? o.o hmm, mines on turret is limited. i think it works best in crossroads. also even if the enemy kill the turret from a distance, they wouldnt think there would be a mine on the spot where the turret died and theyd walked onto the mine if they are close enough when the turret dissapears. if they killed it far away, of course theyll see a mine. i guess its a derivative of placing mines on top of walls. i would say to use it in conjunction with a turret + long narrow corridor or corner. the enemy will kill turret, but wont think of mines being there. probably good on district or escort if turrets are allowed. i got a question, do mines have larger AoE because its off the ground when it explodes? kinda like how ud explode a nuclear weapon above the ground for maximum damage to maximum number of targets while calculating the predictable trajectory of return fire?
Nukes have no higher aoe exploding above the ground. Their shokwave only does not hit the area from only one direction, meaning its not slowed down by everything in between. => Nukes effective range is increased, their real range, which I understand as AoE is not. Also their effect on every quantum of the area hit is reduced. Sure mines exploding above ground have a bigger effective range as well. Why do you think those exist?
Mines in a VF are almost guaranteed to go off and cripple a vehicle, ifnot kill it outright, whereas random mines while having a significant chance to detonate may go an entire match without going off. Mines on turrets are a good idea in theory, but require a lot of engineer/grenadier cooperation, and it only really counters engineers attacking turrets. It's better to simply put mines elsewhere, killing a vehicle is always preferable to killing an infantryman, even if the infantrymans life costs you a turret or two. Mines in the air will explode with less area denied by the ground but really there's no reason to bother with it because the radius is tiny anyway.
when mining the vf space out the mines so that they don't all detonate at the same time. mines at the vehicle spawn, ramp and directly outside are ideal locations to have them going on simultaneously.
If your a tired average hard working person like my self just do some meth or crack to play at youzy's level.

It depends if you believe mines do enough damage to the buildings, which they don't. 95% resist against mines das cool.
