Problems with empires

Although before the recent updates empires ran perfectly for me, recently it has become harder to join servers, and somtimes impossible. Any ideas people?

 

I dont have problems joining servers,but I can't play any games at all (see my "Empire Fan calls for HELP" thread.

Be lucky that you actually CAN play Empires!!!!

i woulnt class sitting and waiting about 30mins x 5 tries is really considerable of 'playing'

When I join my first game when playing it takes forever to load, but when I'm done with that map and the next one loads it takes almost no time at all, so is that normal?

 

Yes, it's because the game must load all textures and models into memory the first time.

 

If you share more ram for the game, it'll speed up dramatically. But i have 1 gig and i run a lot of apps, so this option isn't for me.

 

My problem isnt really the time, its more the ammount of times i have to do it. But yesterday everything was normal for some reason. Havnt played 3 full games in a row for like since 1.02
