This would be a great addition to Empires Lets say your an engineer, you can build auto turrets and you can drop manned turrets such as: Rocket turret with limited ammo. Machine gun turret with limited ammo. Rail gun turret with limited ammo. So more engineer skills you earn the more you can pick but they only come in 1 skill each. That way would balance out the game abit. Because alot of the turrets are auto and some are manned so the manned ones tend to miss more instead of hitting almost 100% of the time. Pretty much an idea I came up with while I was tired lol.
Why? We already got those, but AUTO. You mean like static defenses? Could surely be good against tanks, but doesn't we got grenaiders for that? :p
Insted of 'createing' a whole new weapon. I think we need to change the rifleman MG so it has a deployable tripod cus at the moment it kind of sucks.
People already suggested a towable howitzer type thing, at 1 point a codeer/modeler is gonna say "hey, lets make this moddable like tanks". That is, if they impliment field guns.
Thats exactly what I was going to say, a tank is a portable, manned turret. They are more useful then a deployable turret, as they can.. well move.
I think hes suggesting more of something like a recoverable infantry deployable. So why not just give the Grenadier something like the mortar in 1942, but with rockets. It would be good for holding armor rushes at bottlenecks. the give it a recover method, with each set turret having a little ammo and can only be rearmed by recovering it and then getting some ammo. If given that there can only be one on the field, like turrets, per Gren, and that when hes killed or neglecting they deconstruct after 1 min with no ammo.
