Can we get standard valve radio menus implemented in the next release (e.g. so SourceMod plugins can use them)? The esc menus kind of suck (you can't play and use them at the same time) and they don't properly display certain types of data.
the normal menus wont work properly with most of the stuff emps displays. You're talking about the little menus that say 12345 to pick them right?
Like the radio menus in CS:S. They seem to work on the KM server with one of their plugins. I'm wondering how I can get them to work from SourceMod. And I'd also like to know if they are properly supported by Empires before I use them.
They should be supported, best is not to have more than 6 options though, as theres only 6 viable slots to bind in empires (weapon groups)
I wonder how hard it'll be to get SourceMod to properly display and paginate if it's not using the standard length...
I'm not sure what you mean, the voice commands can already be bound in console, explained in this thread http://forums.empiresmod.com/showthread.php?t=3116 If that's not right, then I just don't know what you mean, sorry.
No... That's not it... I'm talking about Valve radio menus... Are they supported in Empires, and if they are, how can I enable them? It seems like they work as the KM server runs a plugin that uses them.
Ah ok, when you type km_menu on the server it brings up a menu with player/server details for most players (and admin stuff for me....) on the left hand side of the screen above the chat stuff. The menu system utilised is the same one that's used in CS:S when you hit the z,x,c&v keys only in CS:S each option gives you a different sound. It's also the same menu that mani-admin uses.
