Does anyone else crave games that aren't 20 vs 20? I'm always looking for games that are somewhere around 10v10'ish. Wish we had a popular server with a cap of 20. Comments? Edit: More than 10 on a team gets less fun for me exponentially.
I do.. like 10vs10 up to 16v16. It's much more fun for me and more like clan matches. My comp doesn't get laggy and there isn't 15 people talking at once or spamming sounds.. It's how empires use to be and now its more about squeezing in more slots even if it means lag at the end of every match. I miss the 32 slot servers.
I agree with you 100% Dubee. There needs to be 5 full 32 slot servers with a max of 32 tanks and 40 turrets and 40 buildings and just fuck, I dunno.
Can't say I like smaller games, but Empires isn't quite cut out to be big either. 16vs16 is good, pretty much all the time, but although i'd like more (like zeke to massive proportions), it seems bigger teams after that lead to more infantry dying quicker, more res abuse and more tickets gone. Empires really needs a bit of a rehaul to support these big games...and more emphasis on infantry, in all aspects.
Fuck that. 50v50 wouldn't work. 1) you'd never get any mic chat done because at least 3 people would be talking at any given time 2) lag 3) lag 4) not enough vehicles to go around 5) I believe the res increment doesn't go any higher after 48 players
I miss the good old days on 40 player servers when everyone on the team could get a tank in the endgame.
1 would not be true, i wouldnt play 50v50 on ELC... i try to avoid ELC whenever i can due to the retarded players (aka the ones who ruin the game by being plain stupid), i do however except 1-2 people talking. and ofcourse if im going to actually play a 50v50 then point 2 and 3 would not be there, othervise there would be no point playing that. 4/5 is a GOOD thing, i dont enjoy games where everyone drive a tank all the time, i prefer big epic games where lots of infantry is supported by a few tanks rather than the other way around.
10 v 10 sucks, 15 v 15 is okay, the more the merrier in public games. in private you'll never get more than 10 v 10 so it's a moot point.
I usually see idiots at the bottem of the list buying jeeps and getting them stuck all over the map. Leaving us with 4 tanks and 24 players.
ur gonna have a certain ammount of jeeps no matter what the playercount is.. unless there is no retards on. and with 100+ players there would ofc be more than 10 tanks per side.
I've played in pugs with 25v25 (not the old Evan pug, just ones organised in the space of 10 minutes, vets only etc) and clan matches of 17v17. Also, it's always map dependant. I don't like low players if everyone sucks, but if there's a lot of clanners it isn't so bad. Also, whoever thinks tanks for every player is good is a dumbass. Forcing players to use the 2nd slots is far more fun, and stops it being a tank cluster fuck and tank on infantry fuck. Seriously, even if it wasn't laggy, I still wouldn't want more than 50% tanks for a team.
