Haha I always played AoE 3 in lans against expert AI opponents aswell :p We'd be incredibly drunk and/or tired, cheat ourselves a whole lot of resources and just barrage the enemy with the same units over and over until they'd finally crack lol
With RON Gold, you can still start regular RON - you just need to go into the RON folder and find the right Exe. RON Gold is just the original game and the expansion in one package - and the installer only creates the shortcut for the expansion. Shitty if you ask me.
hey, at least you can still play the older version. I was a big fan of RoN, but never got any good lan games going.
We could also try Metal Fatigue ! Though the AI is damn stupid. But against humans, it would be good.
Hell yes. That one + the expansion is pure win. It´s actually the only game from the AoE-series that I like.
I remember at Uni we had a spare afternoon so we did a 3 vs. 5 Extreme AIs. Took us 3 hours to break the siege they had on us and another 2 to destroy their forts and bases. I swear I've never concentrated so hard in my life. I was shaking afterwards. I think there's some DoW matches going on too, not sure if they still do them though. Might get them started again come Friday when I get Soulstorm posted.
