what kind of pizza do you dig? i'm still a student so i don't really get to eat out but chains like dominos have really upped their game in the last few years so i recommend checking out that garlic crust if you haven't already what's your local pizza scene?
Lol, those are banana peppers! Their veggie pizza is the best. Adriatico's. There's only one and it's at OSU. That's their biggest pizza. They make pizzas half and a quarter of that size. They also make a small round pizza, but everyone gets the big Buckeye size pizza like the one pictured.
The pizza I get is feda cheese spread on top, and have green peppers, mushrooms, olives, pineapple, and tomato sauce spread. It has this thick layer crust so its very poofy when you ear the crust.
This place right next to the courthouse in Miami serves some really tasty pizza, if I'm ever in Miami I usually tend to eat there. Though I usually tend to get something from the local Little Caesars if I'm the mood for pizza. Also Red Baron deep dish pizza is pretty good if you just want to pull something out the fridge & heat it up (in a toaster oven if you have one).
I'm a purist when it comes to pizza. Gotta be Italian home made ftw. It is really easy and really cheap. It is worth getting a stone for the oven to do it properly but it isn't necessary. Preferably on the chiminea if it isn't raining. Simple plain mozzarella, freshly torn basil and black pepper. If you must have meat then pancetta. Semolina flour or Tippo 00 Fast acting yeast Tinned tomatoes Olive oil Garlic Good mozzarella 2 basil plants by the window A pepper grinder. Sugar Bottle of red wine.
There's a really nice Italian on the marina where I live in the UAE. There's also a really nice (award winning been there for 40 years etc) one in the town near where I live in the UK, and my family knows the manageress who's been there like 30 years, so we always get in. So I'm surrounded by awesome pizza. Honestly, Pizza should be thin based, always. Anything else is just doughy shit. As for toppings, my personal preference with pizza has always been the vegetarian one. The vast majority of the time, I don't feel like the meat adds anything to the pizza, especially in the case of pepperoni. An exception to this is the pizza I had recently on the marina. It was a Margherita, with Carpaccio on top, which for those of you who haven't had the delight of eating, is raw meat (beef for this pizza) of some kind, usually topped with Parmesan cheese and rocket. Because this was added after the pizza was cooked, it was really interesting, and added a really different twist on the taste. But yeah, besides that, thin-based veggie pizzas, always.
Just had Dominos, a large Creamy Bacon pizza. Too little bacon and cream wasn't sour at all so it was pretty tasteless. 1/10 Next time I'm getting a different pizza because I received tons of coupons for 5€ deals
Anchovies, mushrooms, onions, red & green peppers, dried chili. Make dough, mould into pizza tray, bake slightly, brush with olive oil, add rendered down pasata and/or chopped tomatoes, GRATE the cheese on (mozzarella, mild cheddar, manchego) and add the toppings and seasoning.* *(cracked black pepper, crushed garlic, oregano, bit of salt.) Alternatively used home made chili oil (the best) instead of olive oil and dried chili.
I like capers but they're too tangy for pizza, it jars with the cheese. Capers are awesome with onions in a tuna & bean salad.
