maybe we should make this a sticky

anyway, since some version winamp doesnt seem to be shutting down properly on my PC
that leads to the winamp process running, doing nothing, BUT using a whole core of my quad core

now that isnt that important since i barely notice that since it doesnt seem to have such a huge impact on my performance (either on desktop or ingame)

    now the weird thing comes:
since i got a new mouse, when that winamp bug occurs and im trying to play empires, i get huge performance drops whenever moving the mouse over the empires window
even when its not in the focus
happens both in the menu and on servers

so if anyone got a similar problem you might want to check if a winamp process is still running in the background using a whole core doing nothing ;)

just thought it might be usefull for people that are experiencing the same performance issues, since the fps drop only occured in empires for me

or maybe we could make a stickied collection thread with known annoying problems and the workarounds/fixes for them

Or just use Foobar instead :)

Foobar is really good if you want the global hotkeys that winamp allows, and a less cluttered up ui.
