I don't know what you mean with red of he vehicles... put you probably meant rest of the vehicles... but yes it is possible to make anything glow. Of course I would need all the 3D models to make them transparent and then add the glow effect.

Yes I meant what you said. Is the glow really necessary for them

It's not really neccesary, it more like depends if the community wants it or not.

i like the black shadow on it, but if its transparent, which is what i'm doing to my 3dview screenshots then wouldn't it just sit nicely on top of the underlaying half opaque blue nesquiko gui ??

also, thx for info, i'm using gimp2, but still learning it, where di you add that effect from? i think i've gone through all of them...is it oddly named?

Black shadow won't work if we swap to the grey translucent background, it won't contrast enough. We need contrast, that's the whole point of the glow. I don't care about glow specifically, but I do care about contrast.

You can select the transparent shape, grow the selection by 2, fill it out with the color you want, blur it out with gaussian blur in Filters, and then set the transparency of the glow to your desire. Of course the glow has to be its own layer.

Or just select the transparent shape and use Drop Shadow effect. Just put X and Y offset to 0 and a decent blur radius.

Method 1 is better with thick outlines, Method 2 is a slight glow.

Ok, just need the 3D models now and we can work on them.

brings me to the idea you could color-theme the glow to distinquish the factions -> nf redish brown/be blueish grey - if that wasnt obvious anyway ;)
