I go NW as BE too. It's just so good, you get the high ground. As BE you're just an apc away from rocket sniping them and creating your own choke point. As NF you're on APC from driving it across the dam to their base and rocket sniping them, again from high ground. It's a win win.
Everyone likes the NW more, but city isnt that bad if you tell your team not to turtle there. But dont get a rooftop rax in the city. Half your spawning soldiers will just fall off the ladder and die.
NW is better than city as there are better choke points and easier accesses to the enemy mains with the high ground advantage. But City isn't that bad -- you just need to not place the roof top barracks and block off all of the possible entry points with turrets so you don't have infantry hiding out in buildings. City's main problem is that it's a large piece of real estate making hiding an APC somewhere nearby easy and suddenly you have to deal with a bunch of people.
City's harder to defend, but allows you to do a straight tank rush into the enemy base, aswell as rocketsnipe three enemy refs
NF is the better option for both BE ad NF for the same reason. NW gives NF a huge advantage on attacking BE base. That little cliff by BE base allows the nf a good place to stage troops and take out most of their turrets, if they hold it, it also allows them to attack the base. NF is good for BE to protect this from happening.
Either or + center = win. There is more res in middle than there is in NW and city combined. If I had to choose between NW or city it is NW hands down for either side.
City is very underrated, but so many failcoms place raxes on top of the skyscraper, which is instant fail.
I place two barracks in city. One on the roof, one on the ground [as BE] Why? Because the one on the ground is an easy target, so it'll get taken down. Placing the rax on the roof means i have a backup.
