No arty

    Hi, I'm Tim from the old mod Tim--coop
    I think I was the first one that released a hl2 mod :p
    I got tired of doïng that after a few months so I gave all my content to the synergymod. They have a very nice hl2 coop mod now :) They did great coding!

    After working on my mod I discovered empiresmod.
    This mod is the best game I ever played. I play this for a very very long time already.

    I'm now working on my first empires map but I have a few questions.

    How can you disable arty in a map?
    Is there a way to increase the engineer max. walls ?

    arty can be disabled by a command baked in your map if there is no commander, if there is ther eis no way to alter it afaik besides making the ceiling of your map too low to support successful arty

    there is no way to increase engineer max walls besides having every engineer level up to the level that makes them build more stuff

    Engy walls will increase to 20 with additional ranks, I have no idea why you'd need more than that.

    I believe the command is
    Put that in you map config file (i.e. emp_mymap.cfg)

    But as Blizzerd mentioned, this only works for non-commander maps (e.g. emp_escort or emp_glycencity).

    ah ha! I played tim-coop back in the day, I thought synergy was a rename of the same mod since it used the same maps and what not. Didnt know you donated your work.

    You can use a point_servercommand that executes the unresearch command every now and then, but i think your vmf won't load due to limitations in the vmf storage type, so you'll have to remove the command and re-add it for releases, unless you like editing the map in notepad every time.

    I'll be elsewhere most of the time, i'm doing a game design course in kortrijk, programming, modeling, etc, level design is for the next year, they stopped using source though, sucks :/

    I am form the areas of turnhout myself, it seems that a good 10% of the empires mod people are Belgian, thats kinda amazing

    *OFFTOPIC*
    I see a relation to CW though :) We have turned into a mostly european based clan so that might be the reason lots of european used to stick around , resulting in more europeans over the years :P
