is it possible to have a very dark map on empires? where you can maybe see a few meters ahead of you, and it requires a flashlight to see further?

it looks shitty also the flashlight doesnt shine very far either ... its more for small dark corridors, where it works quite well ...

your own flashlight isn't bright at all, but if you have a partner shinning in the same direction then its useful, otherwise its sucks hard. Silk had a dark half city half canyon like map but yeah it didn't play well without a good amount of light.

Shadows was like my favourite map, it used darkness well, it had awesome gameplay and the design was pretty damn good.
Then RC10 came out and it became the shittiest linear cap map in the game.

Yes, but it probably wouldn't work very well.

I would suggest that if you want more darkness, you use black fog with a maximum opacity value to darken things as they get further away.It allows you to see things you're close to but makes things in the distance more indistinct.
