ALL I WANT is for you to be able to go into the little room in the NF repair station. Try it! You can't! What's inside that room?! I don't know! I can see in, but I can't enter! Maybe it's candy, or perhaps kittens? The mystery is driving me mad with frustration! I'm serious. There's a doorway there, I want to be able to USE it, damn it. This suggestion is moot if the room/pad is revised. Also, there's a ladder in the repair pad. I WANT TO USE THAT LADDER! You can't spawn climable surfaces with source, though. REMOVE THE LADDER AND PUT A RAMP IN! Or remove the ladder altogether. It's another thing that taunts me with it's sexfullness. The same thing goes for the NF barracks. WHY IS IT A TWO STORY STRUCTURE?! I want to go up to the second story! What's up there?!

I don't know for sure, cause i couldn't program my way out of an empty room, but I've complained about the ladder and the room on the repair pad before, and the ladder on the artillery tank, and that was the answer I got. Buuuuut, maybe they just said it to shut me up. I know I would. And I'm serious about these suggestions. It always bugs me in a FPS when I know there's another area on a map and I can't get to it. I'm crazy like that.
I thought it was possible to model it in and then spawn the model.. Dunno about directly spawning climbable brushes though..
I suggested this a while back, but how about NF infantry spawn at the 2nd floor of the barracks and then have to fall down, it would give them some nice protection, the building is a big drawback for them, why not give it some use. I don't think falling from that height will give any fall damage, so it should be good.
good idea. another one that gains my very hard to gain approval... adds to the individualisation of each side, and i dont think it would require any more coding...just a new model. *edit* unless it needs some to set the spawn to upstairs...
Hmmm, if we do end up opening the door for the repair pad, why not make it have another use. An engineer can go inside and use his tool from the inside to speed up repairing on tanks. Seems like a nice suggestion. It will give more use to the engineers who never seem to actually help build the base or get res. Now you can sit in a building repairing tanks faster =P
I like that, but the bonus to repairing would either have to be huge, or the pad had to repair multiple vehicles, otherwise it's simply not worth the time of the engineer.
Just thought about it a little more... There a multiple approaches how to realize this basic idea. The engineer could for example "enter" the building (like a vehicle) and either enabling the repair of multiple vehicles, speeding it up, allowing refitting or increasing the radius the rapepad repairs in .. or a combination thereof. But there would have to be something that keeps the engineer busy. Sadly I don't think Krenzo will like it (otherwise the repairpad would already allow refitting )
Oh gawd I loled. I think I remember being able to get into that room when the game was first released, but you never could climb the ladder. I'm right there with you buddy
Yea as of now the only plans Ive hard for the Repair pad its being able to refit the tank.. But even thats just a plan its not even been talked about implimenting yet as far as Ive heard.
Maybe a repair pad "overdrive mode" for 5 minutes where it repairs all vehicles in a wide area of effect, at a resource price or something.
