New youtube

Anyone else find the new youtube gay?

I do.

and its gay.

I want it back to like 5 versions ago when it had the back-to-start-of-video button.

Its like when facebook gets updates, it gets all faggy and hard to use.

 

Last version was shite too, but this is.. Kinda shit too.

 

its such a step back, i don't know why they changed it, if there was nothing wrong with it.

 

only good thing they added, was transcribed audio rest of it is retarded

 

New youtube is as gay as blizzerd.

At first I didn't like it, but I used it a lot the past 2 days and it is starting to grow on me.

I prefer the way comments work now, since in the past it was difficult to follow the threading order of comments because they wouldn't always show up abiding by their order in response to other users' comments. Now they seem to follow that order and they are much cleaner to read with the rating & reply buttons only showing up as you hover over a particular comment. Also, you no longer have to reload the entire page for comment pagination because comment pagination is now AJAX'd, so you can simply click through the different pages of comments, or show all comments, without reloading the page each time.

The video descriptions are now in a wider collapsed area beneath the video, rather than crammed into a thin, mile long box to the right of the video.

The menus at the top for user account areas seem to work better for me now, since you click on them to activate them, rather than needing to accurately hover so that they don't disappear.

 

Well now they don't have stars, since users probably didn't use it as much, now they just have like/dislike and it works exactly like favouriting AND rating.

the related videos are shown in full without a scrollbar which is pretty good in some cases.

What is unnecessary are showing the top 2 rated comments and uploader comments, they are not needed.

 

if thats true then i cant see why people complain about youtube...

 

i dont like that now you have to click twice to get one video to your favourites

 

The new youtube is retarded. There's like no separation. Placement of comment boxes and info are in the most retarded places ever.

 

I think they're better, they're not cramming too much text into too little space anymore. There's more clarity & the menus are all better.

 

new youtube layout is better, but youtube as a whole still sucks dick.
