This trailer doesn't even show half of what's in 2.0 now; it was done way back in something like RC19-20. If I had time to update it I would, but I sadly don't. All I can say is: try it out for yourself after release!

That's good news. As long as the marketing is clear that this is NOT Empires 1.x, people will give it a try again. You might have even tried renaming the mod as "Empires: "Insert Word Here".
