I think that Mathematics and Computing should be considered as new research branches in the research tree.

Mathematics is obviously one of the most important subject areas in the world. I think that the Mathematics branch should include things such as improved speed of calculations (therefore faster reloading times for turrets and missiles in vehicles), improved accuracy for projectiles etc.

The Computing branch would enable improved tracking, and other things related to computers. Possibly for aircraft, computing would enable the plane to be more manouverable (since planes are aerodynamically unbalanced in order to perform manouvers which make the planes better at turning. In order for the plane to keep flying, a lot of computer chips have to perform calculations).

If these two areas are included I think that would be all of the research branches covered for Empires.

This isn't urgent to be included, if included. Obviously there are other things equally as important which we all want, such as aircraft and *hovercrafts :p* However, I think these two branches should be considered.

    Any thoughts?

Yeah, and then you could research a new graphing calculator for the engineer so he could get his homework done faster (the only draw back is that once you get up to the Texas Instruments Voyage 200 Graphing Calculator he starts getting beat up at school).

The computing branch should let you divide by zero.

I (as a Hellfire tank user) would love a faster Vehical reload rate.

Come on, we need moar math jokes!

(In all seriouslyenceness though, I'm sure they have all their future additions to the tech tree planned out. Although your suggestion is not a bad one)

OMG, one of my friends said that to me and the rest of my Mathematics class during a Mechanics lesson a few weeks ago...we all laughed...at him...it's a lame joke :p

sin x, x^2 and e^x all go off to a party. it's going great, x^2 has pulled, when sin x notices that e^x is in his corner, and everyone is ignoring him.

sin x gives the guy a beer and says, "join the party, this is awesome", though it comes out more like "jooon the poort... this arseeeee!!!!" through the drunkeness and lampshade on his head

e^x sighs, and says "it's no use. I try to integrate, but just end up on my own again"
