    How do you treat new players?
    A simple question like that should hopefully warrant a simple answer.

    If they're stupid, I treat them as such. If they're just ignorant, I try and help them.

    I think that depends on the player.
    I usually help newbies who are willing to listen. but the retards/noobs..I just ignore them, you can't help them anyway.

    i tell them what to do if they're near me or in my squad, or if they ask questions.

    I help the ones that ask.
    The others, i give some clues and the benefit of the doubt for about a minute and if they dont react just ignore them.

    i just do unto them as i would have them do unto me.
    e.g. I vote for them as comm, listen to whatever they say, and under no circumstances vote them out of the CV. I also assist them in their griefing endeavors as much as possible.

    That's interesting.
    I was expecting replies like "I rage at them for 2 hours and then get them banned when they accidently drive a light tank into the water."

    I ignore them unless they ask if there's something specific they must do. Really you're playing on a team with 3-8 people you know, and the rest idiots.
