Yes, the Bunker, ala StarCraft - basicly, a small, fortified structure:

Size - 1/4 size of an NF armory

Hexagonal in design to allow for 6 viewholes that are easy to shoot OUT of, but hard to shoot IN to (angled perhaps?). Has an ammo crate. Cannot have turrets built inside.

High HP, long build time. Maybe 200 resources?

Perhaps make the BE one round and shiny, and the NF one hexagonal and drab?

Main idea here is to have a non-automated defensive fortification.

1/4 of an nf armory isnt going to fit people inside

people have suggested this into thousands of forms already but was shot down every time by community and devs :(

Eh, was just giving a rough estimate *shrugs*

Why was it shot down? Seems reasonable enough, especially if it limits your firing angle an viewpoint.

This is the exact reason

Pass the lead paint if you will

On a more serious note, search around for discussions in earlier threads.

Well the reason this wasn't implemented yet was that they wanted to give the map makers the chance to place their own bunkers where they wanted, as a way to define where the biggest battles will be fought.

I would rather suggest adding little bunker elements to most of the existing buildings or maybe just the armory.

The subject is somewhat closed, the idea is presumably that it is not at all possible to make anything remotely bunkerlike work in empires, although i don't understand the logic of that myself because I can see a couple of uses for them, as well as a couple which are already in use and work very well.

Or..... someone could just remodel the armories to make them more bunker like.

    /obvious solution :pathetic:

Except they wouldn't be included because bunkers are bad, that's the point.

You haven't said why bunkers are "bad".

Do you think bunkers are bad, or is that just the "general opinion"? :(

seriously if you want a bunker create something that is so low profile that the troops have to stay in crawl to be in the building.

I think there are uses for them, they could be good in some instances.

We don't need things that you build for defence, but we could use some expansions of the rax surrounded by walls idea which works so well in the early game and is so unique to empires.
