you have stuff like "special" ships (some historical ships that are only different on looks), money, points (both are very abundant so no need to buy unless when you insist on keeping more then 5 or so ships in stead of selling the older ones) and increased XP gain that can be purchased note: most historical ships like the yamamoto, hood and some german/american historical ships are playable free! the rest is free, basically i would say there is nothing that can be bough that dis balances the game, besides that the player that pays money can train his captain and crew a little faster
Yamamoto wasn't a ship. Im dissapointed. Also, I played this several years ago, and I stopped for some reason I cannot recall, but it was probably a valid reason.
