There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers. - Richard Feynman
Fuck that, in a mole of any substance there are 10^23 particles. A mole of aluminum is only 26 grams. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Canada has the lowest debt to GDP rate in the G7. We have something like $438 billion in debt and a GDP of 1.1 Trillion. Right now government income is $240 billion of which $34 billion goes to pay the interest, so that's like 14% of all our tax money goes to debt charges. 10.2 trillion*7% interest is only 791780821917 a year in debt payments, or 791 billion. That's a lot of money a year, just to pay the interest 15 years ago only Italy was worse (among industrialised nations) than Canada in terms of Debt to GDP. You guys can do it!
Only 50 billion? Shit, I'll see what loose change I have down the back of the sofa, that should cover it.
