my wtf error!

    trying to make a map heres the problem...

    i get this error when compiling, if i click yes it loads up empires and does nothing

    i went over to interlopers.com to look at the error section and entered my compile log...

    the interlopes error thing had this to say


    so WTF do i do?

    What are those empty spaces after "_"? Are they just a quirk in the forums or are they real? If they are real then check why those spaces are there and get rid of them.

    Also look into this problem first before you do anything:

    that's your problem right there. It will be a texture somewhere with a high detail prop density. Look at your large displacements first. If you've created your own detail group, lower the density. Otherwise, if you don't want any details (like 3D grass) just change the texture.

    Some textures has grass things on them that in large amounts can make a game chug or not even compile.

    it's like the shrubs you see in areas of mvalley. They are automatically placed on your surface according to which texture you use. If you don't want to use them, then change your texture. If you do, trying cutting your displacement up into smaller pieces (it will most likely be your ground).

    i havnt used anything like that! its a prity bare map.

    but do you know 'the fix'?

    it's an automatic process, depending on the textures you have used.

    Most likely, you have a very large surface textured with grass or something like that. Either change this texture, or cut up the surface into smaller pieces.

    would a very large block of water do this as well?
