Ok something werid goin on , everything was fine till server changed to Escort , now its saying my map differs from servers????????? was fine yesterday so am i missing summat..... also whilst here Is empires 2.0 full install not as optimised as 1.08 was i seem to lag more or is server doing something in background? yesterday on escort at last flag i could hardly move nr last flag/water area?
I think trid3nt or someone else from jpl was complaining about lag on canyon. When rc33 was just released, the first game i played was on crossroads, and it was indeed a bit laggy. I also have the occasional lagspike (like once every 5 minutes or so), which i only experience since the full install. It's only like half a second or even less, so it's no problem. Escort loaded without a problem here. I did notice the many probems with changing you resolution. I crashed twice, once when going to windowed mode, and once while spectating in windowed mode. When i changed resolution from 640x480 to 800x600 my mouse cursor was displayed about an inch away from where it actually clicked. I think many people will have problems with that. Making it so the changes take only affect after restarting the game would prevent a lot of problems like this. Maybe something for a future release?
The server had a really high ping earlier with only 6 players on but I thought it was just me (I never joined the server)
