This is the best running joke yet. It's still being updated. It was a example of the unity engine and how it even works better than flash in browsers.
Surgeon simulator was originally a Unity plugin game. I remember seeing a bunch of people at my uni playing that attack on titan game weeks back and thinking to myself "wtf".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV2OAgm-IOw It's pretty fun, especially when you get a good server going.
If empires moves to a new engine and starts fresh I'll code for it. EDIT: I don't think unity is good for empires. I've played with it a bit and it doesn't feel like it's what you want. Unreal/Source are already built for first person movement and vehicles. Frostbite too, but I don't like battlefield's feeling. Empires needs tank's ramming eachother and shit.
I can't see Frostbite being a viable option any time soon due to the fact it's EA and they probably couldn't care less about modders anymore. CryEngine 3 or Unreal (it's nice they're finally dropping that god awful UnrealScript for UE4).
Krenzo doesn't write or call us. Hes forgotten us and has moved on to making weird minority report shit for poor people. Even though everyone universally agreed that there can be some serious cash made from this game.
I hope the implementation system of source 2 will not be as horrible as in source 1. Unreal feels like plastic and every game looks the same, I say Unity.
